The Reason I Chose Divergent

Everybody has a reason for choosing a book to read. There are many ways you can decide, whether it was by recommendation, judging a book by its cover, seeing a movie, or maybe it just sounded interesting. I am asking myself today, "Why did I chose to read Divergent?"

There are many ressons to answer this question. I first heard of the book from my first trimester English teacher Ms. Cohen. She said it was amazing. I went months without ever considering the book as one that I would read. So why did I read it?

I had countless numbers of friends telling me to read the book; and even more reading it. I never heard a single negative review. Then I had the opportunity to see the movie. The movie was stunning. The ending was surprisingly unpredictable unlike the rest of the movie. None the less I saw the movie twice. So I took it upon myself to read the book.

Divergent is not an easy book to read. But it is a book worth reading. I encourage you to head over to your local bookstore or library and purchase this novel. It is a couple of bucks well spent.

Divergent Blog Post

4/29-5/5

Hola bloggers. I am still reading Divergent. And I am not going to lie that I am am becoming less and less interested in continuing reading this book. Maybe it is because that it isn't following the movie anymore. I was really impressed with the movie. Also "the book is better than the movie" like many people say. However in this case I disagree. The book never stops. I keep reading and reading hoping that someday, I might reach the end. Nope. Don't get me wrong. There are several elements that Veronica Roth prospers in as I have mentioned in my previous posts. I just feel that the story like is very lathargic and is moving extremely slow. Maybe I am in a slow spit of the book? I just hopes this book picks up the pace a little and gets more exciting. I was really interested in finishing the entire series when I first started reading this. But now...... We will have to wait and see. Until next time, adios bloggers.
