Divergent Blog Post

4/29-5/5

Hola bloggers. I am still reading Divergent. And I am not going to lie that I am am becoming less and less interested in continuing reading this book. Maybe it is because that it isn't following the movie anymore. I was really impressed with the movie. Also "the book is better than the movie" like many people say. However in this case I disagree. The book never stops. I keep reading and reading hoping that someday, I might reach the end. Nope. Don't get me wrong. There are several elements that Veronica Roth prospers in as I have mentioned in my previous posts. I just feel that the story like is very lathargic and is moving extremely slow. Maybe I am in a slow spit of the book? I just hopes this book picks up the pace a little and gets more exciting. I was really interested in finishing the entire series when I first started reading this. But now...... We will have to wait and see. Until next time, adios bloggers.

  1. I really think that Divergent is a good book and you should keep reading it. I loved how you incorperated your Spanish courses into your blog post with the word "Hola."

  4. Divergent is one of those books where you need to read the book to appreciate the movie.
    *SPOILER*
The movie never shows Peter's eye getting stabbed. How are they going to explain this? The number of discrepancies in the movie is astounding. But, I wish you the best of luck in finishing Divergent. The first book is well worth reading (Can't say the same about the rest of the series)

  6. I like the way you contrast the topic between a book and movie version and how each translation of this stroy affects you differently.

  7. I still haven't seen the movie, but I did like the series. I agree that it can be really slow at times, but I think it's worth finishing. Keep pushing through!
